The role of Deputy General Manager Human Resources is pivotal in spearheading the HR function for Quality & Operations functions at a manufacturing site. It provides strategic HR Business partnership to the Site Leadership team, developing and implementing human resources strategy and policy in support of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Partner: Planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resource programs and practices, partnering with business to understand needs and align people strategy.
- Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Identifying manpower requirements based on business priorities and planning budgets, hiring in accordance, ensuring best-in-class onboarding experiences.
- HR Manpower Planning and Budgeting: Assisting in budgeting processes, reviewing and monitoring actual spend vis-a-vis approved budgets, optimum utilization of manpower budgets, and trend analysis.
- Performance Management: Driving continual performance management and annual compensation reviews, training line managers on goal setting and sharing performance feedback.
- Talent Management: Implementing periodic talent management reviews, ensuring development/retention plans are executed, creating succession plans for critical roles.
- Learning and Development: Promoting a culture of learning and high performance, identifying training needs, preparing training calendars, and evaluating training efficacy.
- HR Compliance and Statutory Obligations: Ensuring HR legal compliances by monitoring and implementing applicable statutory laws, maintaining records, and representing the organization at various associations.
- Labour Management: Maintaining harmonious and productive industrial relations environments, tracking productivity, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Employee Engagement and Wellbeing: Implementing initiatives to impact key drivers of employee engagement and leading wellbeing initiatives to achieve holistic wellbeing of employees.
Requirements include:
- 15+ years' experience handling HR functions, with a preference for experience in manufacturing setups.
- Strong business acumen, excellent management skills, ability to influence management, and excellent analytical ability.
- Ability to interface with all levels of management, especially senior-level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications include an MBA HR or Masters in Human Resource Management.
