Job Opportunity:

Vice President of Software Engineering leads the tech delivery of large-scale payments and transaction banking platforms.

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on modern tech stacks and drive technical execution excellence across global transformation engagements.

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Drive engineering rigor across Java-based platforms, Microservices, APIs, and integrations.
    • Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of platforms being delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Program Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and deployment of large-scale payment systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop technical roadmaps and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Implement DevOps practices to improve efficiency and quality.

Team Management:

  • Manage large teams of engineers, architects, and QA professionals.
  • Develop and execute training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with senior stakeholders on technical direction, architecture reviews, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Foster relationships with internal teams to ensure effective collaboration.

Core Areas of Expertise:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, Microservices architecture, and REST APIs.
  • Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale payment systems, transaction platforms, and cash/channel banking applications.
  • Deep domain experience in digital payments, RTGS/NEFT, UPI, ISO20022, SWIFT, reconciliation systems.
  • Ability to scale large tech teams, drive modernization, and lead cloud-native transformations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 18+ years of progressive experience in product engineering, platform delivery, or fintech transformation.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on or architectural exposure to Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in leading enterprise banking/payment system implementations.
