Business Performance Manager

The purpose of this role is to oversee and direct the credit evaluation and control function, ensuring timely collection of accounts receivable, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining a healthy cash flow while supporting business growth and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Governance
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced credit controllers across different locations.
  • Develop and implement effective credit control procedures (credit limits, policies) and strategies to manage divisional credit exposure.
  • Establish governance mechanisms and define performance metrics for monitoring the credit evaluation and control function.
Cash Flow & Financial Coordination
  • Collaborate with the finance function to ensure a healthy cash flow for the division, while driving return on capital employed (ROCE) and working capital optimization, accounts receivable forecasting accuracy, and reduction in days sales outstanding (DSO).
Reporting & Analytics
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, regional sales managers, and zonal sales managers to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Publish relevant reports and factsheets as per leadership requirements, including collection performance summaries, aging analysis, and exception reports.
Operational Oversight
  • Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using the accounts receivable solution.
  • Accelerate the collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation workflow and timely exception handling.
