Senior Financial Analyst – Real Estate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experienced in REIT/Real Estate specific financial modeling including operating and non-operating cash flow modeling, levered and debt cash flow, JV & waterfalls.
  • Develop Argus valuation models (single property and portfolio) and perform lease abstracting, lease review, and audit tasks.
  • Conduct valuations for different commercial real estate properties using various approaches: income capitalization approach (DCF & direct capitalization), sales comparison approach, and cost approach.
  • Create REIT income statement and balance sheet models, understanding revolver, interest expense & circularity, and model future development, FFO & CAD.
  • Prepare pitch books, information memorandums, industry studies, company profiles, and discussion documents for various industries.
  • Perform M&A deal runs, target screenings, and potential buyer analyses using databases like Greenstreet, RCA, Argus, Costar, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Mergermarket, and FactSet.

Maintain high client satisfaction by meeting project timelines and quality of deliverables.

Conduct analysis, perform quality control checks, and structure deliverables.

Demonstrate expertise in client relationship building, information/knowledge needs assessment, and team management.

Required Background

  • Post-Graduation in Finance or equivalent qualification (CFA, MBA (Finance), CA or equiv.)
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Investment Banking or Commercial Real Estate Valuation
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills for economic performance analysis
  • Independent work capability and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and client handling experience
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson Research, FactSet, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
