Senior SoC Verification Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced SoC Verification Engineer to be a key member of our hardware engineering team at Jones Recruitzo. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing and executing comprehensive verification plans for SoC designs, with a deep understanding of verification methodologies, tools, and scripting languages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute verification plans for complex SoC designs based on design specifications and requirements.
* Create, maintain, and improve testbenches using UVM, SystemVerilog, and/or other industry-standard methodologies.
* Implement constrained-random, directed, and functional coverage-driven verification environments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, firmware, and software teams to develop test strategies and debug failures.
* Develop test cases and stimuli for block-level and system-level verification.
* Perform regression testing, coverage analysis, and work towards achieving 100% functional coverage.
* Debug simulation failures using waveform viewers and assist in root-cause analysis.
* Maintain and enhance verification infrastructure for continuous integration and automation.
* Generate verification reports and provide regular updates to the project team on coverage, bugs, and other metrics.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* 6+ years of experience in verification of complex SoC designs.
* Strong experience with SystemVerilog, UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), and/or OVM.
* Proficiency in developing and maintaining testbenches and verification environments for SoC/IP-level verification.
* Hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g., VCS, ModelSim, Questa, Xcelium) and waveform viewers.
* Good understanding of RTL design, digital design principles, and scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
* Experience in functional coverage and assertion-based verification.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with formal verification and power-aware verification is a plus.
* Excellent debugging skills to isolate and resolve design and testbench issues.
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and bug tracking systems.
