Job Opportunity: Lead Intercompany

This role is responsible for overseeing the intercompany accounting team, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders and facilitating effective process improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, thorough knowledge of consolidations accounting principles, and experience in handling inter company accounting reviews and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end intercompany processes, leading a team of 3-4 members and resolving queries/problems in a timely manner.
  • Understand and learn the IC accounting process at Medline, including Oracle FCCS elimination logics.
  • Review month-end activities performed by the IC team, focusing on billing for IC transactions of US entities and global IC balance sheet and P&L variances.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve global IC variances and post top-side entries in Oracle FCCS for high-value open items.
  • Review BS reconciliation of IC GLs in detail, ensuring all necessary backups are available and well-documented, and provide feedback to team members with required action plans.
  • Timely and effectively follow-up with global Controllers on pending data and open queries.
  • Handle queries from Audit and Tax teams as needed and provide solutions to multiple stakeholders on ad-hoc and regular queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of work experience in Finance Controllership/Consolidations, Inter-Company Accounting (CA).
  • Thorough knowledge of Consolidations accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in handling Inter Company accounting/IC ledger reviews/reconciliations.
  • Month-end close experience is required.
  • Transformation projects experience will be an added advantage.
  • Team handling experience is required.
  • End-to-end process knowledge of intercompany process.
  • Experience in handling multiple stakeholders from different global regions.
Desirable Skills:
  • Multiple ERP systems knowledge (SAP & QAD).
  • Consolidation Platform Experience (Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, Tagetik, Trintech etc.) - Good to Have.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Blackline - Good to Have.
Soft Skills:
  • Ability to communicate strongly and influence.
