Clinical Database Designer Position Overview:

This is a highly specialized role that involves the design, build, and maintenance of clinical databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database design principles and experience working with electronic data capture (EDC) systems.

The Clinical Database Designer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the database meets the needs of the project and complies with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing database schema, creating edit specifications, and generating system settings and home page configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interprets study protocols and designs databases accordingly
  • Creates and updates edit specification documents
  • Generates specifications for EDC build components
  • Completes Study Authorization Forms and Trial Capacity Request Forms
  • Attends meetings such as Pre-Design Meetings, Online Screen Review Meetings, Unblinded Data Review Meetings, Internal Design Review Meetings, and internal Edit Specification Review Meetings
  • Communicates project risks to the Data Team Lead

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Bachelor in Technology
