Final Test/Process Qualification Engineer

This is a pivotal role within our team, focusing on the validation and qualification of semiconductor equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough testing and evaluation to ensure that all tasks are executed on track for delivery as promised to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct FAT tests for semiconductor equipment and qualification.
  • Execute checklists and procedures, updating tasks in real-time as needed.
  • Ensure that all final test checklists are completed and signed off, guaranteeing that tasks are on track for delivery.
  • Collect, process, and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Apply troubleshooting methods to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Record and maintain meticulous process documentation and production data to adhere to compliance and traceability guidelines.
  • Refine process recipes based on test and customer requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with PID tuning, including conventional and advanced methods.
  • Conduct DOE's to improve or optimize product design, problem-solving, or manufacturing processes.
  • Pump down vacuum chambers and load-locks while ensuring all safety measures are taken.
  • Proficiency in interpreting air- or liquid-based instrument diagrams and making necessary tweaks.
  • Experience handling gases like CDA, N2, and helium, with an added advantage if handling process chemistry.
  • Hands-on experience with Kawasaki robots, load ports, aligners, and ionizer bars.
  • Evaluate ESD requirements for platforms.
  • Handle delicate semiconductor wafers/panels with precision and care during processing.
  • Hands-on experience with tool leveling.
  • Verify Lock-out / Tag-out is done properly, adhering to Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with common office software, including Microsoft suites.
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment (Curing, Etching, deposition tools).
  • Able to work in cleanroom environments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coach team members on mechanical components, adjustments, and alignments.
  • Write daily reports and present them to the team, supervisor, and manager.
  • Provide input on peers during yearly reviews.
  • Support new product launches to ensure supplier quality meets required standards.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues.
Requirements:
  • Degree in electrical, electronics, software, or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in relevant final testing/process.
  • Substantial experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working in equipment engineering within the semiconductor, solar, or LED industry.
  • Experience in the Final Test Area.
  • Ability to read electrical, electronic, and mechanical drawings.
  • CAD, Solidwork, and Inventor knowledge is a plus.
  • Some software and PLC knowledge and understanding is a plus.
  • Good understanding of electrical and electronics troubleshooting down to the component level and ability to train others.
  • Understanding of vacuum, thermal, and Chemical Vapor Deposition systems and ability to guide the team through complex tool issues.
  • Lean manufacturing skills.
  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
