Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Design Engineer to join our team and support the development of innovative chemical manufacturing processes.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated engineer to grow within a globally distributed project team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust process design.

The successful candidate will have hands-on expertise in flow chemistry and batch process design, strong knowledge of process design tools and calculations, and experience in preparing and interpreting Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5–7 years of proven experience in process design engineering within the pharmaceutical/chemical industry.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, or equivalent) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and optimize flow chemistry and batch processes for scale-up and commercial manufacturing.
  2. Perform process design calculations (heat & mass balance, reaction kinetics, equipment sizing, pressure drop, mixing, and scale-up parameters).
  3. Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as BFDs, PFDs, and P&IDs.
  4. Support process safety assessments (HAZOP, risk analysis, safety studies).
  5. Evaluate new technologies and propose innovative solutions for continuous manufacturing & flow chemistry applications.
  6. Provide process engineering support during pilot plant and commercial scale-up.
  7. Work with procurement & vendors for equipment selection and specification preparation.
