This is a trainee professional role that requires a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in carrying out assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Supports the management and control of data flows to and within finance applications to maintain data integrity and completeness.
- Prepares and records financial transactions for legal and regulatory reporting purposes, updates the general ledger, records financial transactions, and prepares consolidated financial statements.
- Responsible for accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi tools.
- Preparation of accounts for assigned processes in line with global guidelines.
- Ensures adherence to key controls for accounting processes within handled processes.
The Financial Operations Analyst I will make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.
They must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. The impact of the job holder is restricted to own job. The quality of tasks services provided has a limited but direct impact on the business.
Requirements:- Basic level experience in accounting management combination of education and experience.
- Education: Bachelor's University degree or equivalent experience.
The candidate should apply good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives of the area. They should assess applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
