Key Engineering Leadership Role

A seasoned engineering professional with 10-15 years of experience in technical compliance and regulatory frameworks is sought after to lead certification and compliance activities for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of national and international regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze risks and initiate mitigation plans.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand product requirements, generate proposal documents, and develop execution plans.
  • Study tender documents, scheme documents, and compliance standards to create test requirement proposals and obtain agreements from internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate TC documentation, test executions, TC audits, and cooperation with Certification Bodies (CB) for expeditious releases of Software Components (SoCs).
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders like CB/Airworthiness Test Establishments (ATE), DGCA, and Quality Council of India (QCI) to make them understand product environment and compliances.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design and Development, Prototype, Production, and Certification bodies to ensure compliance with UAS regulations.
  • Plan and execute periodic internal audits to identify and analyze compliance risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Team management, Key Result Areas (KRAs), and appraisals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in technical compliance, with at least 5 years in the UAS industry.
  • Exceptional understanding and hands-on experience working with regulatory frameworks – National/International.
  • Proven experience with product testing, process analysis, and certification activities.
