Job Summary

An instrumentation engineer is required to perform conventional design engineering and analysis tasks.

  • This role involves preparation of Engineering Design Basis for instruments and review of P&IDs.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in software tools such as SPI, Aveva Instrumentation, Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of valve sizing, flow elements, and use of sizing software such as InstruCalc is also a must.
Responsibilities

As an instrumentation engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Performing conventional design engineering and analysis tasks.
  2. Preparing Engineering Design Basis for instruments and reviewing P&IDs.
  3. Reviewing and developing engineering documents including Instrument Index, I/O List, Datasheets, Specifications, Material Requisitions, TBEs, C&E Matrix, Control Narratives, Cable Schedules, Interconnection Diagrams, Loop Drawings etc.
  4. Coordinating with design and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth design interface.
  5. Providing technical guidance to project teams and disciplines.
  6. Managing assigned projects, schedules, and quality requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering and team leadership.
  • Strong technical skills in software tools such as SPI, Aveva Instrumentation, Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of valve sizing, flow elements, and use of sizing software such as InstruCalc.
