Position: Instrumentation Engineer

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in software tools such as SPI, Aveva Instrumentation, Navisworks (added advantage).
  • Knowledge of valve sizing, flow elements , and use of sizing software such as InstruCalc .
  • Perform all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis.
  • Prepare Engineering Design Basis for instruments and review P&IDs .
  • Review and develop engineering documents including Instrument Index, I/O List, Datasheets, Specifications, Material Requisitions, TBEs, C&E Matrix, Control Narratives, Cable Schedules, Interconnection Diagrams, Loop Drawings , etc.
  • Review vendor documents and coordinate with design and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth design interface.
  • Ability to review and work on all Instrumentation activities such as Datasheets, RFQs, TBEs, MTOs, Terminations, Loop Drawings , etc.
  • Experience in design, review, and follow-up of vendor packages (Instrumentation/Mechanical).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant International Standards .

Leadership & Team Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and disciplines.
  • Manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements .
  • Plan, delegate, monitor progress, and control team deliverables to meet project schedules.
  • Lead, train, coach, and mentor team members; ensure workload balance and cross-disciplinary coordination.
  • Actively engage with clients to understand requirements, maintain strong relationships, and align project goals.
  • Implement and communicate policies, procedures, and processes effectively within the team.
  • Support performance management processes, mentoring, recognition, and corrective actions where required.
