Database Migration Expert Lead

We are seeking an experienced Database Migration Expert to lead our end-to-end database migration lifecycle across various platforms.

  • To be successful in this role, you will have a strong track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud environments.
  • You will work closely with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.

About the Role:

  • This is a leadership position responsible for defining and driving migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices to achieve zero/near-zero downtime and high availability.
  • You will design, plan, and execute Oracle database migrations across Data Center-to-Data Center, AWS-to-AWS cloud setups, Azure-to-Azure cloud setups, Oracle Exadata (Exadata to Exadata, Exadata to ExaCC), and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Recovery Vaults).

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 years of Oracle Database experience, with at least 5 years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management, Oracle Data Guard setup, switchover, failover, and role transitions.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners.
