Job Description

Design and develop scalable backend services in Python for a global art information platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Build robust backend services in Python using an architecture that prioritizes scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Integrate machine learning models into production APIs and pipelines to deliver AI-driven features.
  • Collaborate closely with ML engineers and product teams to enhance the user experience and drive business growth.
  • Develop low-latency APIs for serving recommendations and intelligent results leveraging vector databases.
  • Deploy, monitor, and scale services in cloud environments while maintaining high performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and design decisions to ensure the overall quality and security of the system.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with strong testing and code quality practices to ensure rapid iteration and deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems with the ability to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • Proven track record of building and deploying production-ready APIs with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Experience integrating ML models or AI services into backend infrastructure with a solid understanding of data flow and processing.
  • Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and DevOps tools to streamline deployment and management.
  • Database expertise: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, Elasticsearch) with a deep understanding of data modeling and querying.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in remote team settings with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience with recommendation systems or personalization pipelines leveraging advanced algorithms and techniques.
  • Familiarity with vector databases and embedding-based search to power similarity search and intelligent results.
  • Frontend integration knowledge to enable seamless user experiences.
