Full Stack Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our technology team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for building scalable and secure backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and API design. They will also have expertise in creating secure, scalable RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.

In addition to their technical skills, the ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX Designers, and other developers to deliver robust, end-to-end solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, develop, and optimise scalable and secure backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and distributed microservice architectures.
  • Build intuitive, responsive user interfaces using React and Next.js to complement backend capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold standards and best practices.
  • Mentor team members on backend and frontend development best practices, focusing on building scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automate build and deployment processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in building scalable, distributed backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in developing user interfaces using React, Next.js, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and API design.
  • Expertise in creating secure, scalable RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including Azure or similar platforms.
