Job Title: Corporate Governance Specialist

About the Role:

The company is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Corporate Governance Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Audit Execution: Conduct robust internal audits and testing activities in line with the annual audit program.
  2. Control Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify deficiencies or weaknesses in processes, systems, or practices.
  3. Audit Planning: Prepare tailored audit engagement plans based on specific risks and objectives.
  4. Reporting & Communication: Document findings, observations, and recommendations in clear reports for management and stakeholders.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with management to implement corrective actions and improvements based on audit recommendations.
  6. Follow-up & Resolution: Monitor and track audit findings and management responses to ensure timely resolution and closure.
  7. Team Support & Guidance: Provide support and guidance to colleagues on risk management and control-related matters.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Progressive internal audit experience (12 months plus).
  • Strong understanding of internal audit concepts, risk management principles, and audit methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to articulate findings and recommendations.
  • Digital proficiency in audit software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to upholding professional standards of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
