Job Title

A Manufacturing Engineer is needed to design and develop CAM programs using NX software.

  • Developing manufacturing strategies: Conceptualize and generate CAM programs for 3D models defining cutting tools and strategies (50% of time).
  • Validating outputs: Run tool path simulations, generate NC code, and perform virtual simulations (15%).
  • Processing inputs: Validate 3D models against 2D drawings and assemble part geometry in fixtures (10%).
  • Supporting production: Collaborate with process engineers to implement CAM programs on CNC machines (10%).
  • Quality control: Analyze QC reports, implement corrective actions, and iterate as needed (10%).
  • Documentation: Create setup sheets and work instructions for CNC operators (5%).

Qualifications

Candidates must have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in NX CAD software. Key qualifications include:

  • Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering (B.E. preferred).
  • Experience: 5 years (B.E.) or 8 years (Diploma) in NX CAM.
  • Skills: Knowledge of GD&T (mandatory), CNC machines (mandatory), NX CAD, cutting tools, and FANUC Controller (preferred).

Key Interactions

The successful candidate will interact closely with internal teams including production, quality, and engineering to ensure seamless process execution.
