Business Intelligence Leader Job Description

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to lead a team of business analysts and developers in delivering business intelligence reporting on investment performance, analytics, and attribution statistics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business intelligence reporting and analysis roles, with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience. They will also have prior experience directing others and have a strong understanding of data warehouse design principles and dimensional modeling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct planning, development, and ongoing management of business intelligence reporting
  • Serve as champion for user adoption of visualization tools
  • Provide governance around platform and usage of tools
  • Plan and forecast long-term resource demands
  • Recruit, train, develop, supervise, and evaluate staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7-10 years of proven experience in business intelligence reporting and analysis roles
  • Prior experience directing others
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse design principles and dimensional modeling
  • Proficiency in writing SQLs and stored procedures
  • Experience working with ETL tools such as Alteryx
  • Strong knowledge of financial services asset management industry and investment process
