Chief Technology Officer - AI Development

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to spearhead the development of our agentic AI platform. As a founding member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and execution of our product.

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in backend engineering, with a proven track record of designing and scaling complex systems and APIs. They will lead a high-performing engineering team, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and drive technical execution across short-term priorities and long-term strategic initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain a scalable, reliable backend infrastructure that powers automation workflows.
  • Design and implement data pipelines, distributed systems, and workflow orchestration solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing, distributed engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and implementation teams to deliver into real-world environments.
  • Make architecture decisions under ambiguity, leveraging strong problem-solving skills and expertise.
  • Drive technical decision-making as a core member of the leadership team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 7–10 years of experience in backend, platform, or systems engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred or equivalent real-world experience).
  • Deep experience with Python or comparable backend languages in production environments.
  • Proven track record of designing and scaling complex systems and APIs.
  • Experience leading engineering teams or projects with high accountability and ownership.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, distributed systems, and workflow orchestration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make architecture decisions under ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Startup experience or mindset – adaptable, resourceful, and focused on outcomes.
