Job Title:

A senior engineer is required to lead the design and deployment of SCADA systems across manufacturing operations.

  • Design, configure, and deploy Ignition SCADA applications for real-time data acquisition and visualization.
  • Develop and implement secure and efficient data exchange solutions using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Integrate OT systems with enterprise IT systems, ensuring seamless communication between departments.
  • Manage industrial databases, including SQL historian and timeseries databases, for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing SCADA deployments to minimize downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in MES functions, including production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, and SPC.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, such as SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with OT-IT integration technologies, including REST APIs and MQTT.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA HMIs, and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, including ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, and IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, such as Azure IoT and AWS IoT.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation projects, such as Industry 4.0.
  • Certifications, such as Ignition Gold Certified Specialist or OPC UA.
