Job Title: Okta Subject Matter Expert

","About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Identity and Access Management (IAM) professional with expertise in Okta Identity Cloud to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Okta architecture, implementation, integration, and support of Okta-based solutions in complex enterprise environments.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert for Okta solutions across projects, designing, configuring, and implementing Okta Identity Cloud features including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory, and API access management.

They will work closely with client stakeholders, engineering teams, and security leads to define access control strategies and identity workflows, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to authentication, authorization, and provisioning.

In addition, they will conduct health checks, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of Okta environments, developing documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and runbooks.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and API security, with experience working with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Workspace, and Office 365.

Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native IAM practices is also desirable.

","Key Responsibilities

","Requirements
  • 6+ years of overall experience in IAM with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and API security.
  • Experience with Okta Workflows, custom scripting, and identity automation.
  • Familiarity with integrating Okta with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Workspace, Office 365).
  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, GDPR).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Okta certifications (such as Okta Certified Professional or Okta Certified Consultant) are a strong advantage.
