**Job Title:** Senior Director- Product Design Team

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Director to lead our product design team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our products and drive innovation.

About the Role:
  • Lead Product Design Team: As the Senior Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.
  • Design Strategy: You will define and drive the holistic design vision for our products, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across internal and external applications.
  • Team Leadership: You will lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product management, engineering, and data science to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.
  • User Advocacy: You will advocate for the user through research, testing, and feedback, ensuring design decisions are informed by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
Responsibilities:
  • Design Ownership: You will take ownership of end-to-end design solutions, from concept to delivery, ensuring that designs meet user needs and business goals.
  • Process Improvement: You will establish and streamline design operations to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across teams.
  • Communication: You will communicate complex design concepts and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent.
Skills:
  • Exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Proven experience leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent relationship management skills working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex design concepts and strategies to a variety of audiences.
