The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in our success, leading our healthcare claims processing engineering teams with expertise in system design and people management. This position requires strong technical knowledge of distributed systems and the ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Design scalable healthcare claims processing systems handling millions of transactions, lead system design reviews, and drive technical strategy for claims adjudication and provider networks.
  • People Management: Build, lead, and mentor software engineers across multiple product areas, conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Data, and Operations teams on feature planning and delivery, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years in engineering management, strong system design experience with distributed systems and microservices.
  • Hands-on coding experience, real-time processing systems, and high-volume transaction processing.
  • Track record of successful large-scale system migrations or platform modernizations.
  • Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and managing technical talent.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, databases, and modern engineering practices.
