Technical Services Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager to play a pivotal role in driving customer solutions, supporting sales, and guiding product development across multiple segments within the Polymer business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical services and formulation support to targeted segments by bridging market needs with internal functions.
  • Develop and adapt formulations for local market requirements, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal standards.
  • Conduct technical training for customers, distributors, and internal teams, promoting effective knowledge transfer.
  • Perform competitive analysis and recommend strategies to enhance business growth.
  • Manage lab operations efficiently, upholding EHS and ISO requirements while maintaining lab equipment and calibrating instruments.
  • Support customer complaint resolution and application troubleshooting, providing prompt and practical solutions.
  • Participate in field trials and on-site customer visits as needed, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical papers, exhibitions, and industry seminars, showcasing expertise and staying abreast of industry developments.

Requirements:

  • MSc or Bachelor of Engineering or Master's of Engineering in Chemistry preferred.
  • At least 8 years of formulation experience in Polymer dispersions/coatings with at least 2 years in a supervisory/people leadership role.
  • Sound understanding of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to provide prompt, practical solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of core markets, competitors, and emulsion polymer technology.
