Our high-impact migration project aims to modernize our legacy platform by implementing Spring Boot microservices, hosting UI pages on AWS, and optimizing deployment processes with CI/CD pipelines.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a focus on frontend development, you will drive code refactoring, upgrades, security, resilience improvements, monitoring, and operational enhancements.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and maintaining highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on the AWS Cloud.
  • Migrating legacy UI systems to a new microservice architecture.
  • Upgrading legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications ensuring high-quality and secure code.
  • Testing, documenting, and quality-proofing your work to ensure that software meets business and operational needs.
  • Troubleshooting any issues to identify root cause and appropriate resolution.
  • Supporting production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitoring metrics and identifying ways to improve logging, reporting, and alerting.
  • FOLLOWING AGILE PRINCIPLES AND PARTICIPATING IN SCRUM CEREMONIES.
  • COLLABORATING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE TEAM - ENGAGING WITH OTHER ENGINEERING TEAMS, PRODUCT MANAGERS, SUPPORT AND SECURITY TEAMS.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with Java and related frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, build, and deployment technologies (e.g., Maven, Jenkins, Docker).
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills - you are pragmatic and know how to build trust.
