Procurement Professional

 

A Procurement Executive plays a vital role in ensuring the timely availability of high-quality parts and components for Electric Vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for local sourcing, purchasing, and managing vendors to meet production schedules and service requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement & Sourcing
    • Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for EV components and raw materials.
    • Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
    • Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules and service requirements.
  • Vendor Management
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
    • Monitor vendor performance (quality, delivery timelines, compliance).
    • Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities as per company and industry standards.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
    • Work closely with production, R&D, and service teams to forecast material requirements.
    • Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
    • Coordinate logistics for timely deliveries from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records.
    • Handle import/export documentation for EV parts and equipment.
  • Cost & Quality Optimization
    • Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure procured items meet specifications.
    • Contribute to localization of components to reduce costs and import dependency.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBA

Experience: 2-5 years in procurement, preferably in the automobile or electric vehicle industry

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of EV components (battery, motor, controller, charger, etc.) is preferred
  • Advance proficiency in MS-Excel
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced EV ecosystem

 

Salary Range (Indicative): ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month (depending on experience)
