Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer with experience in Site Reliability Engineering to join our organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in designing, deploying, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the secure operation of our traditional and cloud-based networks, while adhering to regulatory frameworks and industry standards.

To achieve this, you will lead the design and implementation of network architecture, deploy and configure switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and ISP circuits, as well as manage OS upgrades, routing changes, and ACL/firewall updates.

You will also oversee the deployment and management of NGFW solutions, including rule reviews, vulnerability mitigation, and audit preparation. Additionally, you will be responsible for securing, segmenting, and managing network resources across AWS (preferred), Azure, and GCP, and integrating security best practices and compliance controls.

In incident management and forensics, you will respond to security/network incidents, perform traffic/port scans, document findings, and lead post-mortems to reduce risks and maintain audit trails. Furthermore, you will collaborate with vendors, workplace, compliance, and development teams to deliver reliable, compliant infrastructure and integrate controls into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy network architecture to meet business needs
  • Manage network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and ISP circuits
  • Oversee the deployment and management of NGFW solutions
  • Secure, segment, and manage network resources across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, compliant infrastructure
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical expertise and soft skills. Here are some of the key qualifications we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in network engineering and/or SRE roles, with hands-on firewall expertise (Palo Alto preferred)
  • Practical cloud networking experience (AWS preferred); strong grounding in IP networking, routing, switching, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and relevant security protocols
  • Demonstrated proficiency with automation tools, such as Ansible, Python, Bash, and IAC tools like Terraform and Crossplane
  • Experience integrating security policies and controls into CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with microservices environments and the unique network/compliance needs they introduce
  • Advanced PKI, certificate management, digital signature, and secure communication skills
  • Competence using SIEM, DLP, and privileged access management solutions in accordance with regulatory frameworks
  • Self-motivation, a troubleshooting mindset, and an independent bias for resolving complex network security/compliance issues
