Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with leading PCB design tools and a strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design for test (DFT).

The key responsibilities of this role include developing and validating PCB libraries, performing schematic capture, executing component placement, and carrying out PCB routing. Additionally, the successful candidate will handle the complete post-Gerber process with fabrication and assembly readiness.

The PCB designer will also work closely with cross-functional teams to improve design robustness and reliability. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are essential for this position.

  • Develop and validate PCB libraries: Ensure that all PCB libraries are in line with organizational standards.
  • Schematic Capture: Perform accurate and efficient schematic capture using leading PCB design tools.
  • Component Placement: Execute component placement considering electrical, DFA, and DFM constraints.
  • PCB Routing: Carry out PCB routing with controlled impedance and length-tuning as required.
  • Post-Gerber Process: Handle the complete post-Gerber process with fabrication and assembly readiness.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on Experience with Leading PCB Design Tools: Familiarity with Allegro, Altium, or Mentor Graphics is essential.
  • Strong Knowledge of Constraints Setting, Routing, and Post-Layout Checks: Ability to set and manage design constraints, route signals efficiently, and perform post-layout checks.
  • Experience with Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Validation Methodologies: Proven expertise in signal integrity and power integrity validation methodologies.
  • Proven Expertise in Multi-Layer PCB Stack-Up Design and Materials Selection: In-depth knowledge of multi-layer PCB stack-up design and materials selection.
  • Familiarity with HDI Techniques, Blind/Buried Vias, and High-Speed Interfaces: Understanding of HDI techniques, blind/buried vias, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Good Understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT Considerations in PCB Design: Knowledge of design for manufacturing, design for assembly, and design for test considerations in PCB design.
  • Strong Analytical Skills with Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to Work in a Collaborative, Cross-Functional Environment: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
