Printed Circuit Board Design Expertise

  • A seasoned professional in designing and optimizing printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, ensuring high performance, signal integrity, and reliability.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting electrical/electronic schematics, generating detailed fabrication drawings, and creating hardware design documents.
  • Designs and develops high-performance/bandwidth PCBs, performing layout for analog, digital, and RF circuit boards through fabrication and assembly drawings generation.
  • Serves as a single point of responsibility for transferring schematic net-list design into physical PCB design, considering electrical considerations such as signal integrity, power integrity, ID, mechanical integrity, EMC-EMI, safety, manufacturing industry spec, and end-user usability requirements.
  • Creats and manages PCB documentation, including fabrication and assembly drawings, Gerber files, and coordinates and approves PCB layout.
  • Prepares BOM and fabrication documentation, following revision control procedures, and brings up and tests PCBs and auxiliary electronics.
  • Develops PCB layout concepts that align with products involving efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments is essential.
  • A strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and materials is also required.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong logic/board debug abilities are crucial for success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, design, electronics engineering, embedded system engineering, ECE, or ETC. A minimum of 3 years' experience in using two or more PCB designing tools from the list given below: KiCAD, ISIS, ARES, Allegro, or similar industry-standard tools.
