Linux Systems Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux systems administrator to join our team. As a Linux systems administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our Linux-based infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Linux operating systems, including RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS. They will also have experience with general Unix/Linux administration tasks such as building and configuring VMs, software package installation, account maintenance, file permissions, system tuning, and more.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructure
  • Perform system administration tasks such as installing, configuring, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure system security and integrity
  • Monitor and analyze system performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Technical Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience managing Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS
  • Experience with Unix/Linux administration tasks such as building and configuring VMs, software package installation, account maintenance, file permissions, system tuning, and more
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking in the OSI model in LAN/WAN environments
  • Familiarity with cloud administration (AWS, Azure, Google) is a plus
  • Education and Certifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education or training
  • Degree resulting in an associate or bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems
