This is a key role in the culinary team responsible for preparing and producing various pastry and dessert menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pastry and dessert menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Set up pastry displays on buffets as needed.
- Assist with transportation of food items from main stores to pastry galley.
- Clean and sanitize working area and utensils following USPH rules and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. You should also be familiar with proper cleaning techniques and be able to lift heavy objects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient, and possess excellent communication skills.
