Release Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced release manager to oversee the end-to-end release lifecycle of our AI product on Google Cloud. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating with cross-functional teams, automating pipelines, and ensuring seamless delivery of new features and models.

This role requires a unique blend of release management discipline and cloud engineering expertise. You will bring clarity and stability during fast-paced AI deployments, while building systems that prevent issues before they occur.

  • Orchestrate the release lifecycle from planning to deployment.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA, MLOps, and Product teams.
  • Lead CAB reviews and release readiness checks.
  • Build automation-first release pipelines on Google Cloud.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud environment or configuration issues.
  • Develop observability dashboards for real-time visibility into release health.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience in release management, including CAB meetings and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud services, including GKE, IAM, Networking, Storage, and Cloud Build.
  • Hands-on skills in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Python automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML product release cycles is a plus.
