Food Preparation Assistant Job Description:

The Food Preparation Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of dishes, managing mise-en-place, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. This role is ideal for individuals with excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes of assigned cuisine with authenticity and consistency.
  • Manage mise-en-place and daily food preparation.
  • Ensure portion control, plating standards, and hygiene compliance.
  • Train and supervise junior team members in techniques, recipes, and kitchen safety.
  • Monitor inventory and assist in requisitions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the section.

Experience Requirements:

  1. Commis I: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Commis II: 6-12 months of experience in a similar role.
  3. Commis III: No prior experience required, training provided.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends.
