Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of OpenShift Virtualization environments.

Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues related to OpenShift, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. You must also understand and adhere to IT processes, including incident, change, and problem management.

Key skills required for this role include proficiency in managing Windows Servers, including patch management, as well as a strong understanding of networking principles and practices. Additionally, experience with storage systems and technologies, including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC), is essential.

Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers, including DELL and HP ProLiant servers, is necessary. Familiarity with deploying, operating, decommissioning, and migrating virtual machines (V2V and P2V), managing the lifecycle of virtual machines in OpenShift and VMware, is also required.

Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes is crucial. Collaboration with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems is expected.

To succeed in this role, willingness to work on rotational shifts, including night shifts, to provide 24/7 support is required. Continuous monitoring of system performance and security using Prometheus and Grafana is also essential to proactively address potential issues.
