We are seeking an experienced Global Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team at Amazon Dev Center India. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with international tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare local tax provisions for Amazon entities under US GAAP, IFRS, and Local GAAP, including current and deferred tax calculations, disclosures, and journal entries for financial statements.
- Prepare US GAAP tax packs for regular US GAAP reporting.
- Prepare EMEA Corporation Tax Returns, other tax filings, and supporting work papers.
- Support the local tax payment process, including Corporation Tax.
- Support international aspects of Amazon's worldwide provision, research effects of various international transactions, and support international tax compliance and reporting aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with the US and international tax controversy teams on tax audits and assist with process improvements and automation implementation throughout the foreign tax reporting and compliance process.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, contribute to exciting projects, and enjoy a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
