Job Role: Data Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our Engineering - Software & QA department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data platforms that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance data platforms using AWS services or similar cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data platform requirements and develop solutions.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for data platform development, including thorough code reviews.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer issues related to data platforms.
  • Mentor junior engineers in data platform development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data platform development, preferably with Python, Java or related programming languages & frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database technologies.
  • Experience working with AWS services or similar cloud technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Knowledge of Generative AI technologies, LLMs, and AI Agents.
  • Experience with microservices applications and infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible.
  • Linux/Unix environments expertise.
