Job Description

To excel in this Data Management role, you should possess:

  • A solid understanding of data governance and records management principles, with the ability to review business processes from a data-driven perspective and identify critical upstream and downstream components within financial services organizations.
  • A strong grasp of data quality controls, data lineage, and reference data/metadata management, including relevant policies and frameworks.
  • The ability to analyze, interpret, and work effectively with stakeholders to identify data quality issues and develop proposed solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication to convey a deep understanding of the organization's big-picture objectives.
  • A clear comprehension of the elements of an effective control environment, enterprise risk management framework, operational risk, or other principal risk frameworks.
  • Experience managing stakeholders directly or indirectly across geographies and cultures.
  • A strong understanding of BCBS 239 principles and related frameworks.
  • Commercial acumen, demonstrating a consultative yet pragmatic approach with integrity to solving issues, focusing on areas of significance and value to the business.

In addition to these essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates with:

  • A graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in data management/data governance/data quality controls, governance, reporting, and risk management preferably in a financial services organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – PPT, Excel, Word, Visio.
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk, governance, and control frameworks and processes.
  • An understanding of data management principles and data governance, including BCBS 239.
  • The ability to analyze, interpret, and work robustly with others to identify issues and develop proposed solutions.
