Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to drive the design, implementation, and adoption of data governance solutions across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading projects end-to-end and bridging the gap between compliance requirements and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies for data governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Define and implement data classification, labeling, and protection policies across data repositories.
  • Configure and manage data loss prevention, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery in data governance systems.
  • Integrate data governance with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Support data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to strengthen data governance.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for data governance and its integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of experience in data governance, information protection, or compliance.
  • Strong, practical expertise with data governance tools, including data classification, labeling, and protection frameworks.
  • Proven track record with data sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of data security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, Azure services, and data repository platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
