Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing and developing the data platform to efficiently address various data needs across the business.

The successful candidate will have expertise in building and managing large volume data processing platforms, as well as experience with OLAP databases, SQL, Spark SQL, Hive, and stream processing systems like Kafka, Kinesis, or Pulsar.

They will also be proficient in building microservices and managing containerized deployments using Kubernetes, and have experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Flink.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of No-SQL databases like Apache Cassandra or DynamoDB, and experience with operationalizing and scaling machine models.

They will work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to make data easily accessible and understandable, and ensure data quality by implementing re-usable data quality frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and data engineering.
  • Expertise in programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with data integration techniques like APIs, Lambda, File Feeds, etc.
  • Knowledge of data tools and frameworks like Apache Airflow, Druid, Looker, Tableau, or similar.
  • Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
