Network Security Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Security Specialist to ensure the secure operation of our network infrastructure.

  • Design and implement firewall rules using Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, and Check Point platforms.
  • Develop and maintain policies for NAT, VPN (IPSec/SSL), URL filtering, and threat protection.
  • Evaluate and approve firewall Change Requests (CRs), including policy changes, NAT rules, and ACLs.
  • Ensure seamless implementation of changes without downtime and establish rollback plans.
  • Maintain thorough CR logs and communicate with stakeholders on post-implementation activities.
  • Analyze root causes and implement lasting remedies.
  • Document troubleshooting steps taken to resolve issues.
  • Participate in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) by identifying issues at the firewall/security layer.
  • Respond to troubleshooting calls related to connectivity issues, external VA problems, rule dumps, DNS/FQDN resolution, and more.
  • Open and manage cases with OEM manufacturers like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA, and others.
  • Ensure smooth handovers of critical issues to the next shift during 24/7 operations.

Certifications preferred: CCNA Security, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Fortinet NSE4, ITIL Foundation.
