Front-End Developer

As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality web applications using Django templates. Your primary focus will be on implementing user-facing features, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining code quality. You will work closely with back-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to create seamless user interfaces that meet the needs of our users.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality Django web applications, ensuring performance and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic.
  • Implement and maintain data storage solutions using Django ORM.
  • Manage RESTful APIs and ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end components.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent user experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to enhance application performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Django ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) for efficient database handling.
  • Mastery of Django's template language for generating dynamic HTML content.
  • Familiarity with Django REST framework for building Web APIs.
  • Knowledge of class-based views to organise application logic.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of security features in Django (e.g., XSS protection, CSRF protection).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
