Senior Wireless Network Quality Assurance Specialist

This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive system test plans to ensure seamless integration of networking devices, access points, and servers.
- We are looking for a highly skilled individual with experience in quality assurance validation of enterprise-grade wireless access points.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues based on wireless packet captures.
This position involves building robust testbeds using various networking devices and servers to validate 802.11 Wireless and proprietary features.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop end-to-end validation of client-to-cloud architecture, ensuring smooth data transmission.
- Recreate customer-observed issues in a lab setting and collaborate with engineering teams to drive resolution.
- Perform performance testing using iPerf, analyzing results to optimize network efficiency.
- Work closely with the CS team to review defect reports and enhance test coverage.
- Create and track bugs in Jira, collaborating with the engineering team to resolve critical issues.
- Escalate critical issues promptly, prioritizing timely resolutions.
- Develop technical documentation for CS and QA teams in Confluence, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Train and mentor Level 1/2 Engineers on emerging wireless technologies, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
- A Lead Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Hands-on experience with quality assurance (QA) validation of enterprise-grade wireless access points.
- Basic understanding of routing and switching concepts, including VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and trunk/native configurations.
- Experience validating IEEE802.1x features using Freeradius or standard RADIUS servers.
- In-depth knowledge of various 802.11 protocols (r/k/v).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues based on wireless packet captures.
- Passion for resolving customer issues and advocating for their success in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
- Strong analytical skills, enabling quick and accurate assessment of technical problems.
- CWNA/CWSP/CWAP certifications.
- Proficiency in Python scripting.
- Hands-on experience with ISE/ClearPass.
- Basic knowledge of L2TPv3/IPsec.
