Data Solutions Architect

Job Overview:

The role of Data Solutions Architect is to design and implement advanced data search and discovery systems leveraging AI-powered technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement: Develop and deploy cognitive search solutions utilizing Azure Cognitive Search and related AI services.
  • Data Ingestion and Enrichment: Create pipelines for ingesting, indexing, and enriching data from diverse sources including databases, reports, dashboards, and documents.
  • Natural Language Query: Enable natural language query capabilities for business users to interact with enterprise data effectively.
  • Semantic Search and AI Techniques: Integrate semantic search, embeddings, and generative AI techniques to uncover deeper insights.
  • Use Case Definition: Collaborate with business teams to define use cases across finance, operations, and reporting.
  • Integration and Delivery: Partner with data lake and ADF pipeline teams to ensure seamless integration and adopt agile, iterative delivery methods.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure adherence to compliance requirements, data security, and ethical AI usage in search solutions.
  • Mentorship: Mentor team members on AI search and NLP best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong experience with Azure Cognitive Search, Cognitive Services, and AI/ML frameworks is essential.
  • SQL and Data Integration: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data integration for search indexing is required.
  • AI and NLP Technologies: Familiarity with embeddings, NLP, and vector search technologies is crucial.
  • Search Solution Connection: Experience connecting search solutions to BI tools, reports, and dashboards is necessary.
  • Data Governance and Management: Strong understanding of data governance and enterprise data management principles.
