Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring precision, speed, and serviceability.

The ideal candidate has experience delivering high-performance electromechanical systems, is comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, design for manufacturability, and has hands-on problem-solving skills with an eye for ergonomics and field-service.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Designing for speed, stability, and serviceability: quick specimen exchange, accurate and repeatable motion, clean routing, easy field-replaceable swaps.
  • Developing assembly and test playbooks - fixtures, torque specs, metrology checks - and driving it from prototype to pilot builds.
  • Qualifying and scaling suppliers, partnering closely to improve yield and finish quality.
  • Leading system-level integration, balancing optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety needs.
