Project Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator who is passionate about the broadband, telecom, and outside plant industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer provided Request for Proposals documents to gain a full understanding of project scope, RFP response requirements, project specifications, project schedule, and customer objectives. They will develop comprehensive estimate and bid preparation templates tailored to each RFP project, utilizing expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns, high level schedules, risk registers, preliminary resource plans, and populate customer bid pricing forms for client submissions.

The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates. They will conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies, communicating effectively with internal stakeholders to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.

To succeed in this role, you must have proven experience in estimating within the broadband, telecom, or outside plant industry. You should possess expertise in Excel with the ability to develop complex spreadsheets and models, as well as self-motivation, analytical and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.

You will be working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients. Additionally, you must be able to comply with and enforce risk management policies and safety procedures, and have knowledge of construction materials, processes, trade practices, and equipment.
