Data Governance Consultant is a key role that requires an individual to act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Data Officer, Chief Information Officer, or Vice President of IT.

As a Data Governance Consultant, you will be responsible for defining data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives and regulatory compliance. Your goal will be to deliver high-quality consulting engagements and guide customers with data governance methodologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends, including data quality management, data integration, and metadata management.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in implementing and managing data governance programs, defining target operating models, communication plans, and workflow processes. They should also be able to implement defined frameworks leveraging tools like Informatica, Collibra, and Alation, collaborate with stakeholders to identify challenges and requirements, and establish data classification, access control, compliance policies, and develop policy centers.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining data quality and governance KPIs for continuous improvement and developing a deep understanding of data governance principles, practices, industry framework, and technologies such as Collibra, Informatica, and Azure Purview.

Key qualifications for this role include excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to analyze solutions across people, process, technology, and data. Good to have certification in Collibra/Alation/Informatica or similar technology.
