At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical System Installation Specialist, you will play a critical role in overseeing the activities of project contractors to ensure that performance goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination & Supervision:\
  • \
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors and subcontractors for assigned portions of the project.\
  • Ensure all construction activities are sequenced and performed according to the project schedule.\
  • Act as the primary point of contact for contractors within the assigned area.\
  • Manage multiple contractors and subcontractors, ensuring smooth project execution.\
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure efficient and continuous construction.\\/ul>\
  • Health, Safety & Environmental Oversight:\
    • \
    • Monitor overall job site health, safety, and environmental performance.\
    • Verify that contractors are adhering to safety protocols and protecting their workers at the job site.\
    • Plan and chair safety meetings, assist with incident investigations, and participate in safety programs and initiatives.\\/ul>\
    • Contract & Construction Administration:\
      • \
      • Supervise and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with contracts and project specifications.\
      • Assist in the coordination of design deliverables to support efficient and continuous construction.\
      • Communicate deficiencies or non-conformance issues to the Construction Manager and work on resolutions.\\/ul>\
      • Cost Control & Reporting:\
        • \
        • Assist with construction estimating, scheduling, reporting, and cost control activities.\
        • Ensure that measurements are verified, invoices are certified, and work performed by contractors is appropriately tracked and recorded.\\/ul>\
        • Change Management:\
          • \
          • Enforce the Change Management process and Request for Information (RFI) management.\
          • Ensure that any scope changes are handled efficiently and documented accordingly.\\/ul>\
          • Project Planning & Progress Tracking:\
            • \
            • Assist in the development and review of construction-related documents for proposals and business improvement activities.\
            • Provide inputs for daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.\\/ul>\
            • Constructability & Handover:\
              • \
              • Participate in and provide input for project constructability plans.\
              • Assist in coordinating between construction and commissioning teams, ensuring an effective handover policy is in place.\\/ul>\
              • Quality Assurance:\
                • \
                • Ensure that the project safety plan and quality plan are strictly followed.\\/ul>\
                • Leadership & Administrative Support:\
                  • \
                  • Act as an administrative spokesperson during the absence of the Construction Manager.\
                  • Manage the resolution of any site issues and develop or implement appropriate remedies in collaboration with the Construction Manager.\\/ul>\

                  Required Skills and Qualifications:

                  • Experience:\
                    • \
                    • A minimum of 5-10 years of onsite experience in major projects across sectors such as Infrastructure, Real Estate, Power, Steel, or Chemical.\
                    • Involvement in at least 2 significant major projects of similar size and scope to those delivered by us.\\/ul>\
                    • Education:\
                      • \
                      • Postgraduate or graduate degree in an engineering discipline.\
                      • Postgraduate degree/diploma in construction management is preferred.\\/ul>\
                      • Key Skills & Competencies:\
                        • \
                        • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and performance evaluation.\
                        • Ability to manage multiple contractors and subcontractors, ensuring smooth project execution.\
                        • Expertise in health, safety, and environmental management on construction sites.\
                        • Proficiency in construction estimating, scheduling, cost control, and reporting.\
                        • Familiarity with change management processes and documentation.\\/ul>\
