Tower Design Engineer Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tower Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves designing, planning, and executing transmission line and telecom tower projects with a strong focus on quality, cost, and timely delivery.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in design engineering, estimation, tendering, and planning within the OHTL (Overhead Transmission Lines) and Substation domains. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare design calculations, structural analysis, and detailed tower drawings in compliance with international standards.
  • Develop BOQ, BOM, and cost estimations for tendering and project execution.
  • Evaluate client specifications, tender documents, and provide technical & commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site execution teams to ensure alignment of design with project requirements.
  • Perform load analysis, proto development support, and optimization of tower design for cost-effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering (Master's in Engineering preferred).
  • 05–12+ years of experience in Tower Design, Estimation, and Project Planning in Power Transmission / Telecom Tower industry.
  • Hands-on expertise in design software (STAAD, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MS Tower) and ERP tools (SAP/JDE).
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (IS, IEC, ASCE, ASTM, etc.).
