Job Title: Master Baker and Pastry Chef

Key Responsibilities:

• This role is responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• The successful candidate will be assigned to a designated workstation within the bakery or pastry galley where they will work under the guidance of the Head Baker or Pastry Chef Tournant.
• Responsibilities may include but are not limited to setting up displays on buffets as required, transporting food items from storage areas to the galley when assigned, cleaning and sanitizing working areas and utensils, and assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Awareness of the ship's standard operating procedures and ability to assist guests and crew members with inquiries is also expected.
• Additionally, the candidate must be willing to attend meetings, training activities, courses, and other work-related activities as required by the company.
• Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications and Education:

• At least two years of experience as a baker and pastry chef in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service with shipboard experience being highly desirable.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and maintenance is essential.
• Completion of high school or meeting the basic education equivalency requirement is mandatory.
